Mary's background as a Registered Nurse, a trained Massage Therapist, and a medical intuitive supplies her with both theory and practice to support the use of complimentary techniques as a holistic practitioner. This knowledge places Mary in a unique position to bridge the gap between conventional biomedical therapies and complimentary therapies.  The ability to promote healing does not rest with a particular profession, rather it is an inter-active connection between two or more persons with the intent to heal.  Mary has been trained in a variety of healing techniques and is considered an expert in the mind-body connection and its relationship to wellness & illness.  She uses a combination of Medical Meditation, Stress Management, Healing Touch Therapy, Reiki, Reconnective™Healing, guided imagery, visualization, and her innate intuitive ability.  Energy based techniques balance and align the human energy field.  When the field is out of alignment illness can result.

How Does Healing Occur?

All healing is basically self-healing.  A physician can set two bone fragments in place, but the body itself finally heals the split; the physician simply directs and facilitates the process.  Energy healing is a complementary mode of facilitating the healing process, but functions from an energetic perspective rather than only a physical one.  The Practitioner re-aligns the energy flow, re-activating the mind/body/spirit connection to eliminate blockages to self-healing.  The effect of the modality is similar to acupuncture, but without the needles. It can be thought of as bio-electromagnetic massage to stimulate bio-electromagnetic and physiological changes in the client at the cellular level to promote healing.
